Match pages, Steam visibility and match recording tweaks

A match now opens into a page of its own with your whole party, and the site now tells you why a match wasn't recorded.

Every match, with the whole party

A match in History now shows who you played it with: next to Party of 3 there's a face for each teammate who also collects their match history. Point at one for their card, click it to open their dossier.

A match entry with two teammates' avatars next to "Party of 3", and a small clock by the match time

Click Party of N (or Solo) and the match opens right there on the dossier: the whole party side by side, each hunter with their rating before and after, their own loadout and how their match went.

A match page: three hunters side by side, each with their stats for the match, weapons, gear and traits, and what their kit cost

Above them sits the session the match belongs to - every match in it in order, green for the ones you survived and red for the ones you didn't. Below that, the party totals for this one match.

The session strip above a match: the session's matches in order with match 6 of 11 highlighted, then the session totals and the party totals for the match

A few more details:

  • A teammate we can't show gets a blank card. A friend shows up there once they join the Bayou Ledger and switch on Collect my match history
  • Your avatar and your side of a match appear on your teammates' match pages too, for the people who can already see your matches. Hide from teammate lists in your privacy settings keeps you off those as well

The whole thing is in the match history guide.

Why a match didn't get recorded

Match history only works while Steam shows us that you're in a match, and when it didn't, there was no telling why. Now the site tells you.

The account page is split into tabs - Refresh, Privacy, Integrations, Account, and Subscription if you have a plan - and the Refresh tab has a new Steam visibility panel:

The Steam visibility panel: when Steam last showed you playing, four settings each ticked with when it was checked, a warning about apps like Crosshair X, and the Check my Steam settings button

When matches go unrecorded for a reason you can fix, you now get a notification. We're still tuning them.

Pulse: matches recorded

Pulse has a new panel: how many matches the site has recorded each day over the last 30 days. It counts only hunters who share their match history.

The Matches recorded panel: 2 890 today, 144 290 over the last 7 days, 160 172 all-time, and daily columns split into Bounty Hunt, Clash and Quick Play

Everything else

  • A hunter on your watchlist who hides their profile now stays there as a Hidden hunter you can remove, instead of vanishing while still taking up a slot
  • If your region's servers fall behind during a session, we read your stats from another region for the rest of it and let you know in your notifications. And on Automatic you're told when we first find your region or when it moves
  • Some avatars that never loaded now do, and a hunter with no avatar gets their initials
  • Pages download a good deal less
  • Fixed one match sometimes showing up twice in History
  • And a great many other odds and ends
