The community event, Tribute, Blood Testament

The front page now shows the community event that's currently running, the new Blood Testament season has started, there's payment through Tribute, and plenty more besides.

Community event progress

The front page now shows the community event that's currently running. The tracker shows the same thing you see in the game. The panel stays up for as long as the event is live, and disappears the moment it is over.

Blood Testament, and one chip for every season

Hunt's new season - Blood Testament - started on 8 September.

From that day every "this season" figure started again from zero: the season boards on the roster, the season view of a dossier, and the season block on the OBS overlay. We also tidied up the season selector a little, since there are three of them now and they had stopped fitting everywhere.

A new Quick Play leaderboard

The Quick Play board used to rank on all-time K/D, and that number barely moved for anyone on the board. Play brilliantly for a whole month and you end up in exactly the same place.

So the Quick Play boards are now seasonal only, and ranked by wins. There is no all-time board any more. And getting onto the season board is now easy for anybody - it comes down to how persistent you are, since whoever has the most wins in the mode sits higher. You need 10 wins in the mode to show up there.

A Party Finder without the ghosts

The Party Finder board only ever grew. Listings stayed up forever, so a hunter who posted months ago and never came back was still taking up space and still collecting requests nobody would ever answer. When we counted, close to half the listings were dead.

Listings have a shelf life now, along with an activity requirement for whoever posted them. Yours stays on the board while all three hold: it was published or renewed in the last 30 days, you have been on the site in the last 7, and you have played Hunt in the last 14. The only one you have to keep an eye on deliberately is the 30-day shelf life, and that is one click: your own listing shows how many days it has left, and an expired one gets a Renew button.

Nothing is deleted: an expired listing is hidden, and we send you a notification on the site when it drops off. Putting it back on the board is one click as well.

Two more things on the same page:

  • The board pages at last. It used to be one long list you had to scroll through, slowly and tediously. Now it comes in parts and loads as you go.
  • Three new ways to be reached: Lolka, for anyone who can't get to Discord, plus QQ and KOOK for the Chinese audience.

Paying from outside Russia

Our card payments run through a Russian acquirer, so a card issued in another country is usually declined (though sometimes it does go through).

Now, alongside Boosty, there is one more way to pay: Tribute. Tribute takes foreign cards, and also SBP, Telegram Stars, Wallet Pay and a great deal more. The button is on the subscription page for everyone except visitors we can confidently place in Russia, whose cards work anyway.

What to know before you pay:

  • You need a linked Telegram account. Tribute tells us who paid by their Telegram account and by nothing else, so the two have to be linked first, in the "Telegram" section of your account page.
  • It is a one-off payment for a single period. Nothing renews, and refunds are unfortunately not something the system itself provides. The button says so before you pay.

Everything else

  • Better validation of the text in the bio editor (Banisher tier and up).
  • On the overlay, the session change beside a goal is now coloured by its direction: green when things are going well, red when they aren't.
  • Discord auto-roles work more reliably, and faster.
  • A lot of fixes to the stat refresh machinery after the new patch landed.
  • And a great many other odds and ends.

Thanks, everyone! ๐Ÿ™‚
